Elk jaar wordt in de derde week van januari de St. Maarten Classic Yacht Regatta gehouden. De Caribische zee vormt dan het decor voor een vloot van schoeners, vintage schepen en gaff cutters. Regatta Programme 2010

Thursday January 21
Yachts on anchor in Great Bay and at Bobby's Marina
( free docking subject to availability )
Yacht registration at the new St.Maarten-St.Martin Classic Yacht Regatta headquarters in Bobby's Marina Great Bay Philipsburg from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm
Skippers briefing at the Green House Bar and Restaurant in Bobby's Marina at 6.30 pm followed by the Official Openings Party at 7.00 pm

Friday January 22
First regatta day. Race start not before 10.00 am out of Great Bay, Philipsburg Sint Maarten to the bay of Marigot in Saint Martin.
Courses to be announced later.

Race finishes in Marigot around mid day / 1.00 pm.
Free docking at Fort Louis Marina. ( subject to availability ) and in the bay on anchor.
Free drinks for all captains and crew upon arrival in marina Fort Louis.

Saturday January 23
Second regatta day. Race start not before 10.00 am out of the Bay in Marigot Saint Martin to Great Bay Philipsburg St.Maarten.
This is also the Tall Ships Day.
Tall ships will start after the regular regatta and sail also to Great Bay. Courses to be announced later.

Race finishes in Great Bay Philipsburg around mid day / 1.00 pm.
Yachts on anchor in Great Bay and at Bobby's Marina
( free docking subject to availability )
Tall Ships also on anchor or at the Cruise Ship Pier.
Free beach buffet at Great Bay Beach in front of Passangrahan Hotel for all Captains, Crew, VIP's and Press.
Local sail boat races departing from the beach at Taloula Mango's Great Bay at 3.00 pm.
Invitation only VIP Sunset cocktail party on board the Tall Ship "Caledonia" in Great Bay at 5.00 pm.
Regatta party with live band for the general public at Taloula Mango's as from 7.00 pm.
VIP lounge above Taloula Mango's open for VIP's, Captains and Crew, Press as from 9.00 pm.

Sunday January 24

Tall Ships open for the general public. Visits from 9.00 am until 11.00 am.
Final regatta day. Race start not before 10.00 am out of Great Bay, Philipsburg Sint Maarten towards Anguilla and back to Great Bay. Courses to be announced later.
